Dr. Susan McDonald earned her DVM degree in 1984 from Colorado State University.
She practiced 34 years in northern Utah, primarily in Salt Lake City. In April 2018 she retired and she and her husband moved to St George, a long awaited dream of theirs to get out of the snow. Retirement didn’t last long as she started doing relief work for Dixie Veterinary Clinic in September 2018, and after her husband passed away she joined the clinic as a regular part time clinician. Her special interests are internal medicine, nutrition, and pain management.
When not working she enjoys gardening, playing piano, and hiking with friends and her dog Zeke.
